The man-made satellite that WRESAT (Weapons Research Establishment Satellite) is the first among Australia. The name comes from Weapons Research Establishment of the manufacturer. With 45 kg in weight, 1.59m in height, tetrahedron form of 1.76m in diameter of the base, the power source was only battery.
It was launched by Sparta provided on November 29, 1967 by the United States and observed sun emission and the atmosphere upper air and sent data for five days. The full length that this satellite is connecting with the third step of the rocket and included it in is 2.17m.
