Summary

Misato-shi, the area of Yoshikawa-shi sandwiched between Edogawa and Nakagawa was old, and it was called two volost half territory. Because it was the production center of the early crop of rice [2], and originally this area was located in the Nakagawa low land, I was often troubled by a flood. Therefore as a result of having performed much irrigation drainage business through prewar days, postwar period, it became the high quality grain belt. I installed the first pumping weaving shop in Hanawada, Misato-shi and a pumping weaving shop second in Hikokawado, Misato-shi, and these two volost half territory has ever drawn water from Nakagawa. I establish the pumping weaving land in Kanasugi, Matsubushi-machi and draw water from Edogawa and flow down left bank side of Nakagawa to be parallel and join the lower second Oba River now in Naganuma dam in Misato-shi Togasaki. I branch off Takaku irrigation canal in Kiuri dam in the neighborhood to go into by Musashino Line on the way [3].
