The NHK UHF TV experiment station (N H Kay you H F TV じっけんきょく) is the radio station which the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation established for practical use of the television broadcast by the ultra high frequency (UHF zone) (the experiment station, broadcast examination station).
I was established in both analog digital, and the new experiment station was set up in 2013. Because the purpose changes by the times, I speak below it every experiment purpose.

Experiment start and small electricity satellite UHF station in the UHF zone
The beginning of the TV experiment station using the UHF zone is the experiment station established by NHK NHK Sci. and Technical Res. Lab. This was intended to perform this broadcast launch of a color television by the NTSC standard in 1960.

A channel was tight in no time in those days because the television broadcast was broadcasted by an ultra-short wave (VHF Zone) and was able to assign it from 1ch only to 12ch. Therefore the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (existing Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) at the time revised "allocation plan basic policy (the following, "a basic policy" and sketchy description) of the frequency for the television transmission" on March 27, 1961 and determined a policy to assign a UHF zone to television transmission. I received this, and at first NHK began a full-scale experiment for following three stations to use the UHF zone as a satellite station (telephone exchange) of the small output in form to be given in trust based on Broadcast Act from the country (about the same). Of these, about the Otsu station which became the prefecture area key station later, I switched what I opened as the experiment station of VHF in 1960.

I received the result of the experiment, and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications revised "the second allocation schedule (the following, "second plan" and sketchy description) of the frequency for the television transmission" on May 7, 1963 and assigned the channel of the UHF zone to 96 districts of the whole country for telephone exchange use. The Hitachi station and the Takahagi station shifted to this broadcast in the same year, but the Takahagi station was transferred with the real use of the KDD Ibaraki satellite communications place later, and it was in "a Ten Kings of Hades telephone exchange". The Otsu station was 1971, and general television prefecture area finally glared at becoming it and shifted to the new telephone exchange.
I was able to still less receive the UHF broadcast in those days when I did not attach a UHF converter (the device which converts a UHF electric wave into VHF electric wave).

NHK submits an experiment, findings to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications from an experiment start on June 30 after four months. The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications which analyzed this revised "basic policy" and "frequency allocation schedule (the following, "first plan" and sketchy description) for the television transmission" on October 13, the same year and assigned a channel for the UHF person helping a pregnant woman put on her maternity belt at the celebration of her fifth month of pregnancy station for 19 district 23 stations. The experiment of Tokushima educational television John was continued for one year and I reduced antenna electricity to a one-third on the experiment starting date of the next year and became the UHF zone's first key station. I promulgate the revision such as "the Wireless Telegraphy Act enforcement regulations" including the new establishment of the broadcast examination station system for Open University TV experiment program, and, on December 24, 1971, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications enforces it. I received this, and, on February 7, 1972, "the TV experiment station" was changed to "a television broadcast examination station" [5] and broadcasted the Open University TV experiment program other than a normal program of NHK during the periods from February 7, the same year to March 30 [6]. It was broadcasted on December 28 from November 13, 1972 [7] and almost performed an experiment program of the Open University afterwards in a period from January to March after the next year.
As for the programming, a start of the examination broadcast performed a general television and simulcast (simultaneous broadcast) just after that, but night established the time of the original formation for around three hours 30 minutes while performing simultaneous broadcast of general TV from January 4, 1971 and organized the rebroadcast of the program of synthesis TV, the educational television that there was much broadcast hope by night such as continuation telenovel or woman all sorts of subject, precedence broadcast and the rebroadcast of the drama [4]. On the other hand, the Open University school which was the main purpose of this experiment established it in 1981, and TV station of 16ch and FM radio station license of 77.1MHz were issued in 1984 by Tokyo Tower. I start examination (notice) broadcast on November 1, the same year and, including the recruitment of students, start class broadcast as the Open University on April 1, 1985.
Super hi-vision practical use experiment
I received Olympics held decision of 2020, and the country decided to aim at the realization of the higher-resolution digital broadcasting. I received this, and NHK received a license of the experiment station aiming at terrestrial realization of "the 8K supermarket hi-vision" from Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Kyushu synthesis Communication Bureau on November 22, 2013. In the stage place of the experiment, Hitoyoshi-shi, Kumamoto was chosen [10].
