Geography

I am the southeastern part of Nankoku-shi, the Western area of Kochi Airport. I receive the foreshore in the court official, the south in Tateda, the east in 大埇, Katayama, the north in the west. A site of Kochi Airport occupies the eastern part. National highway No. 55 southern country bypass crosses the northern part to the east and west, and Kochi prefectural road 31 foreshore Ueno line runs to the north and south, and Kochi prefectural road 243 Tamura Takasu line diverges west. Tagawa runs through the center in autumn to the north and south.

• Tamura exists in - Kami-gun by the late Tokugawa period. According to mention of "the former high former territory investigation book", I possess the Kochi feudal clan.
• It becomes the jurisdiction of Kochi by - establishment of prefectures in place of feudal domains (August 29, 1871) on July 14, 1871.
• Tamura renames it in - (1872) in 1872 and becomes Tamura.
• Tamura forms the local government by the enforcement of - municipality organization alone (1889) on April 1 in 1889. I form Tateda-mura and an office work cooperative.
• - Tamura merges with Tateda-mura, Mishima-mura (1942) on July 1 in 1942, and a rising sun village starts. I become previously-mentioned village larger section of a village Tamura.
• - rising sun village is complicated (1956) with Hamamura, Nagaoka-gun University Shino village, Sanwa village, Inao village, ten villages in front on September 30 in 1951, and Nagaoka incense Nagamura starts. I become previously-mentioned village larger section of a village Tamura.
• - incense Nagamura merges with Kami-gun Iwamura, Gomenmachi, Nagaoka-gun, Noda-mura, Oko village (1959) on October 1 in 1959, and Nankoku-shi starts. It becomes the Ichida village.
