Kichiemon Asaumi and Maruyoshi scheme

According to "丸吉大行之巻 left in this district," I was staying at Koshu Tsuru county Shimokurechi-mura (existing Nishikatsura-cho, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi) so that Kichiemon Asaumi resident in (1831), Niiza county Katayama village accomplished great desire of Fuji mountain climbing 33 degrees for Tenpo era two years, and a village headman and a Shinto priest came, and there was a mountain called the three Pass which even a hunter did not climb without the Scotch mist clearing in their in the village, but was entreated when I wanted you to open the three Pass by the power of the Fuji guide. After at first Kichiemon who undertook this going and worshiping at Mount Fuji, and having accomplished great desire of the 33 degrees mountain climbing, I part from way home bank people and stay overnight at the Shimokurechi-mura village headman's house. When Kichiemon climbed this mountain pass alone on the morning of July 6, the same year, I continued advocating a text of a sutra of the founder prayer to Furumiya who worshiped two at the stone haughty honorific title of a Japanese god beginning over there for basket forest, 21 days. It is dark till then, and, on the morning of July 27, the Scotch mist which stagnated is clear neatly, and it is said that I invite Kichiemon who descended a mountain, and the villager does 驚喜 and celebrated a founder.

Kichiemon Asaumi returned to the single mountain village after this and was given an office and rank title of "浅海大和守" from deities of heaven and earth. The wonder of the spiritual power of the guide of this Katayama was widely known to the neighboring villages, and Maruyoshi religious association was born in the future to go by having played a prayer to escape from a disease and a misfortune. It is said that I counted 4,000 participation number of houses in Iruma, Tama, Toshima, the Niiza 4 county in (1833) for Tenpo era four years two years later.

Maruyoshi scheme and low ranking Shinto priest

Many low ranking Shinto priests existed and stood among shrines and temples and Fuji scheme believers and ever carried the role of the diffuser who spread Fuji scheme with instruction of the faith that care and Mount Fuji such as staying offers and the bishop preached on Fujiyoshida-shi, Yamanashi that was Fuji starting point of a mountain climb.

As for the Maruyoshi scheme of Katayama, Niiza-shi and Muneoka, Shiki-shi, as for the Bishamon shop Satos, Maruyoshi scheme of Nakano, Niiza-shi, records such as the staying are left each in 上紋司家.

Monument of 和光市浅久保浅間神社境内

It was commemorative in having achieved the great desire accomplishment of Fuji mountain climbing 33 degrees, and Kichiemon Asaumi built Fuji Katayama in the law level temple precincts of existing Dojo, Niiza-shi in (1831) for Tenpo era two years. The monument which I engraved four 31-syllable Japanese poems into is built here, but the full name of a guide and 58 organizers of 23 municipalities is carved, and the base knows that Maruyoshi scheme at the time had a considerable expanse.

The post of the Maruyoshi scheme

In Shinto country enlightenment of the Meiji, the Maruyoshi scheme and the branch scheme joined the Fuji pile religious association (Fuso church in the back, Shinto Fuso religion) in succession to an old scheme. The guide Sadamu Namiki gate-guard office of the Maruyoshi scheme of Katayama gets the pushed paper of the bureaucrats mark called "great leader タルベキ 事" from the Fuji pile religious association. The this Namikis served an earnest guide from generation to generation and performed vicarious visit to Mount Fuji afterwards until the end of the war.

As for the Maruyoshi scheme of Nakano, there remains it a sum of "太々神楽奉納" by guide Hiroshi Enoki and others total number 62 (1968) in 上紋司家 in July 1968, but it is said that the mountain climbing dies out in this now last.

The Maruyoshi scheme of Shikishima, Shiki Shrine changed 富士太々講, Fuso church Shiki Station Corporation and a name, but is done with the end with the vicarious visit of three people of (1941) in 1941.
