Brief career history
I it before F1
I get a champion by Germany formula Opel championship of 1988. I develop a fight for champion with Karl Wendlinger, Michael Schumacher by F3 of 1989 in Germany and become the ranking second place next to the Venn drin garfish. All-Japan F3000 era

デイモン・ヒル側から見れば、ウィリアムズから追い出され、またジョーダンでは圧倒的な力の差を見せつけられ、引退への引導を渡された形になってしまっただけに2人の関係は険悪そうに思われがちであるが、実際は2000年のジョーダンの新車発表時においてフレンツェンは「(前チームメイトの)デイモンの分まで頑張りたい」と語り、デイモンも引退後「F1 Racing」誌の誌面上において、フレンツェンに和気藹々とした雰囲気でインタビューしたり、2001年のドイツGP後の解任劇に関してエディ・ジョーダンの姿勢を厳しく批判していた。
スペイン語が堪能な理由として「離婚してスペインに移住した母親の許をよく訪ねたから」と「F1グランプリ特集」に掲載されたインタビュー中で語るなど、非常に家族思いなところもある。
