CERT Coordination Center
The research and development center that CERT Coordination Center handles Internet security in the United States. It is a pioneer of CSIRT and is one of the most authoritative organizations in the field.

Summary
CERT/CC is run in Carnegie Mellon University software engineering laboratory of Pennsylvania Pittsburgh of America. The establishment was established with the Morris worm case that occurred in the same year in November, 1988 by DARPA. In the administration, financial support is provided from the Department of Defense.
CERT/CC does not have the branch office, and there are not the direct relations with the CERT in each country and the arriving organization of the name. There is a particularly strong collaborative relationship with US-CERT of CSIRT affiliated with U.S. Government, but this is an independent organization, too.
The activity of CERT/CC diverges into many branches, but the most famous thing is analysis, dispatch of the software weakness information to be known as "CERT Advisory". In addition, CERT Advisory is changed to the use sent to as "Technical Cyber Security Alerts" in 2004 by US-CERT.
