Origin

I am born in New York in 1908, and the stage makes its debut as a vaudeville performer at the mid-1930s. A movie appears in the part of reporter appearing in the last scene of movie "Citizen Kane" of 1941, and this may be done with a movie debut, but really appears for a different movie in 1938.

At a position same as the position who played it with Broadway stage drama "picnic" [1] that I appeared in 1953, I appear for the screen version (1955) and am nominated for the Actor in a Supporting Role Award of the 28th Academy Award.

I am nominated for the Actor in a Supporting Role Award of the 32nd Academy Award by movie "a certain murder" of 1959.

I died by Alzheimer's dementia in 1981.
