400th level Ontario highway
The 400th level Ontario highway (400-series Ontario highways) is a network of expressways of Canada Ontario. In a high-standard driveway going along the Ontario downstate, it is a part of the Ontario highway network mainly. It becomes the use that is approximately similar to the expressway between states of the United States of America. The standard norm of this network of expressways that a number of the 400th level is assigned to has a maximum of 100 kilos per an hour in speed and other accident prevention facilities, traffic management system.

Network of expressways
The 400th level highway network plans a network of expressways that it is completely set a limit to access, and at least four traffic lanes were installed in. A network is formed mainly on Route 401 and queen Elizabeth way (QEW) of the Toronto neighborhood now. Like Quebec expressway (Quebec Autoroute), the bailout from the federal government is apt to be delayed, and maintenance of the whole network of expressways takes time.
Ontario maintained the expressway from the 400th level highway network past. There is the route with much traffic in high standard than the 400th level in that, too.
Route number
The 400th series was introduced for the first time in 1952. The reason why I gain "4" to a head is that I meant 4 traffic lane roads at first (there are many things with the number of the further traffic lanes now).
As for the queen Elizabeth way (QEW), a number of the 400th level is not dumped, but is considered to be the main route of the 400th level highway network. QEW is the Ontario's first expressway and really assigns a number as internal business as "highway Route 451" in the ministry of Ontario traffic (not used with a map and the mark).
At the rate of how to hit numbers has two kinds of the next. I assigned it to numerical order from 400 to 409 sequentially. Three first routes were Route 400, Route 401, Route 402. Route 409 was assigned afterwards from Route 403. Route 408 is planned, but even the start of construction is not done. Route 407 is planned in the 1960s, and the site purchase was done, too, but it is started construction for the first time in 1987 and is offered open now as a turnpike.
The 400th level came to be assigned to the high standardization of the conventional highway afterwards after the 1970s. Route 427 is a bypass of Route 27 or a high standardization route, and Route 416 and Route 417 are high standardization routes of Route 16 and Route 17 each. In addition, Route 410 and 420 flights are bypass routes of Route 10 and Route 20 each (in other words, original Route 10, Route 20 exist).
