Yatate Onsen (やたておんせん) is a hot spring in Odate-shi, Akita (after old country Dewa country, the Meiji era Ugo country). There is it right under the arrow holder Pass which is a prefectural border with Aomori.

It is the hot spring resort where the atmosphere of the spa remains, and there is much use of the bather now. Yatate Onsen is in Aomori, but is often called Mutsu Yatate Onsen for distinction.

Spring quality

• 含塩化物鉄泉
  • Spring water drinking is possible, but is bad by metal taste, bitterness, sulfur taste.
  • A warming gravity-feed irrigation method. I warm hot water in the bathtub with the steam with the boiler directly once in several minutes although being flowing constantly from the source at the source of approximately 30 degrees Celsius.
  • Because a hot spring became the dark reddish-brown by iron content, I was called "Akayu" until the early days of the Showa era.

Bathroom

  • From Akita Expressway Odate north IC is approximately 15 minutes in the Hirosaki area at National highway No. 7.
• Railroad (in the nearest station Jimba Station)
  • Stop getting off from JR East Odate Station for approximately 30 minutes for the route bus (Shuhoku Bus) arrow holder apartment house in front of Yatate Onsen. But the service only as for 3 coming and going a day.
