Sakata civic center "hope hall" (the slope help "hope hall" which does not see it, or does not go Sakata Civic Hall "Kibou Hall") is a multipurpose hall in Sakata-shi, Yamagata. Next, Sakata-shi government office was opened on July 3, 2004. Sakata-shi runs it with management.
The concert by the Shinnihon Philharmonic orchestra symphony orchestra which Seiji Ozawa commanded in 2004 was held. The hope hall becomes Sakata Philharmonic orchestra orchestra headquarters hall and the base place of Shonai performance by the Yamagata symphony orchestra now.
Sound facilities are the best in Yamagata, and several times a year of music lives by the famous artist are carried out.

- Coliseum (stage approximately 700m2 in area, seat approximately 1,120m2 in area)

History
A civic center of 1,100 seats of accommodation was built in Sakata-shi in 1962 and took a role as the center of the culture for a long time of 42 years. However, the deterioration of facilities became the problem, and the city decided new civic center construction after the choice of the site and was completed in February, 2004.
It was said that all five JV which planned a bid by designated competitive bidding in February, 2002 declined a bid. Sakata-shi of 2,105,356,000 yen was going to bid, and announced a price, but each JV listed the "refusal" "order in the plan price in a bid book with unreasonableness" saying that profit could not anticipate the order in this planned price. In movie "おくりびと shown in September, 2008," the hall was used for the photography of the concert scene with the orchestra of the in a play.
Sakata hope music festival
In commemoration of the concert by the Shinnihon Philharmonic orchestra symphony orchestra which Seiji Ozawa commands in 2004 having been held, Sakata hope music festival is held as an idea in "waiting, and music and art pushing forward making it with the moisture to blend naturally" every year from 2005.
It is almost held for from June to October and performs two kinds of business of the "support project" "support business". When I am targeted for business, the special reduction of taxes such as use of facilities charges is applied.
