Words asked Teiichi Okano of the assistant professor at Tokyo music school for Mannen Ueda, the composition of the linguist each, and they were established in commemoration of the opening the Edo shogunate 300th anniversary of (1910) Nagoya-shi on February 28, the same year in 1910 [3]. I am considered that it is the second oldest next to Yokohama-shi song established for a song of existing city in the last year, but existence is hardly known among the citizens because the opportunity of the performance decreases in postwar period, and even the site of the city is not introduced [4].
The record has the thing of the Matsuzakaya orchestra performance that Victor record (current JVC KENWOOD Victor Entertainment) made in (1929) in 1929 [1], and "Nagoya march" of the Yazaemon Hayakawa composition is recorded in the B side of this record [2]. "The Nagoya-shi song" was recorded in compilation album "CD (KICS-1511) which King record released in commemoration of (2010), the Nagoya opening the Edo shogunate 400th anniversary in 2010 of Nagoya commemorative for song だがね Nagoya opening the Edo shogunate 400 years" for a CD sound source for the first time.

Remarks
Existence of "Nagoya-shi marching song" (words: Motosue Ishida composition: Kiyoshi Nobutoki) made in (1930) in 1930 is known as the musical piece that Nagoya-shi affected an establishment other than "Nagoya-shi song". "Popular song Nagoya march" (words: Hiromi Tajima composition: Masao Yoneyama) that first generation Columbia Rose sings songs by release the above-mentioned "Nagoya march" which this "Nagoya-shi marching song" and Yazaemon, Hayakawa composed (1953) (1931) again in "daimyo Furuya march" (words: Yaso Saijo composition: Shinpei Nakayama) and 1953 of the release in 1931 is a musical piece according to each.
In addition, I was announced in (1976) in 1976, and "my Nagoya" (words: Mitsuo Okazaki composition: Yoichiro Omachi) might be introduced as "a citizen's song", but Nagoya assembly hall chose this song as a favorite song not Nagoya-shi [5].
