The Himeji Institute of Technology (ひめじこうぎょうだいがく, English: Himeji Institute of Technology) is the Japanese public university which established the headquarters at 2167, Syosya, Himeji-shi, Hyogo. It was installed in 1949. The abbreviated designation of the university princess College of Engineering (whether hide it, and is like that).
I founded it as a prefectural high grade institute of technology in Kobe-shi, Hyogo in 1944 and changed the name to the prefectural technical school of it to the same year and, after a move to Himeji-shi in 1946, was established as Himeji Institute of Technology in Himeji-shi in 1949 and integrated it with Kobe University of Commerce, Hyogo Prefectural nursing University in 2004 and started newly as Hyogo Prefectural College.

The Himeji Institute of Technology is a university descending from the old system Hyogo of the foundation Prefectural high grade institute of technology in 1944.
It was the specialty college only for departments of engineering, but set up an environmental human being department for a long time in a department of science in 1998 in 1990.
I integrated it with a Kobe University of Commerce, Hyogo Prefectural nursing university in 2004, and Hyogo Prefectural College started.

- Traffic access: Is Shinki Bus than JR Sanyo Main Line Himeji Station, Sanyo Electric Railway Main Line San-yo-Himeji Station; approximately 30 minutes (a part goes by way of Shinzaike, Himeji campus). JR Kishin Line Yobe Station becomes the nearest for the distance from the station, but is inferior to a bus in the convenience.
It is located in the foot of the handwriting mountain in the suburbs of the Himeji city. From the process that the headquarters and a department of engineering of the Himeji Institute of Technology were located for many years, it becomes the central campus of Western Division in Hyogo Prefectural College, and there are relatively many numbers of the club circle, too. The student of Western Division merely often calls it "handwriting". Because the first grader of a department of science and the environmental human being department goes, there is much number of the students, but the school cafeteria in lunch time is crowded very much because the restaurant where a convenience store grieves at in the neighborhood is limited to. There are relatively many stairs in a campus from the topography.

It is located in Harima Science Garden City that opens up Aioi-shi northern suburbs, a part of the Harima Heights, and was made and approaches it with a junior high school, the high school attached to Hyogo Prefectural College. It is located in Himeji city, corner, Shinzaike of the Himeji-jo Castle castle town. This campus follows the very rare change. It was a campus of old system Himeji Senior High School, but becomes the Kobe University Himeji branch school by educational system reform of 1949 formerly. Because I unify it, and a branch school moved to Rokko stand with Kobe University for the next 1,965 years, Himeji junior college moves to the ruins. The affiliated kindergarten is set up, and the now feature that became the campus of the environmental human being department remains in the kindergarten ruins. Old system Himeji Senior High School Main Building and the lecture hall are registered with a registration tangible cultural property. There is a tulip tree becoming the preservation tree of Himeji-shi in the campus, and the class reunion name is derived.
