The flag (state flag of the Spain territory Canary Islands self-government state) of the Canary Islands is a perpendicular tricolor flag, and white, blue, yellow are placed by the same width by the left. The crest (seven gray volcanic islands are drawn in a shield of the blue, and the dog which is the etymology of the Canary Islands supports a shield from both sides) of the Canary Islands self-government state is garnished the center of this flag with, but this crest is omitted in the flag for the citizen. There was the rule about the state flag of the self-government state in the text of the canary self-government state self-government method established on August 16, 1982 (fundamental law 10/82), and it was the flag of the Canary Islands formally for the first time then.
This tricolor flag has the origin toward Canary Islands independence movement (Canarias Libre) of the 1960s. The flag of this time was made of paper not a flag of the cloth. I put blue and yellow to symbolize an RAS Parma's prefecture in this blue and white that three colors symbolized Santa cross デ テネリフェ prefecture together, but similarly a flag of sole Thai a using white, blue, the yellow was suggested even to the canary independence movement that I had among people from Venezuelan Canary Islands in the 1950s before this [1].
Independence movement, terrorist organization "movement of Canary Islands (Movimiento por la Autodeterminación e Independencia del Archipiélago Canario) established in 1964 for self-government and independence" did the flag which treated seven green stars to a perpendicular tricolor flag of white, blue, the yellow with a symbol.
