One of the asteroids where Diana (78 Diana) is located in the asteroid belt. It is a C type asteroid full of carbon compounds. Yoshihide Kozai assumes it an asteroid on behalf of a considerably small asteroid group.
I was discovered on March 15, 1865 by German astronomer, Roberto Luther (Karl Theodor Robert Luther). I was named for goddess ディアーナ (Diana) of the hunting of the Roman mythology.
