金城黌

The private old system secondary education school where 金城黌 (きんじょうこう) was established in current Tsushima-shi, Nagasaki in (1892) in 1892.

Summary

The history

Izuhara associate junior high school (renamed to "Nagasaki Prefectural Izuhara Junior High School" by prefectural transfer of) in (1880 in 1880) was established as the school where an elementary school graduate entered in Tsushima in (1878) in 1878, but it was the abolition in (1884) in 1884, and the period when there was not the secondary education school continued for several years. Middle laws of education were enforced in (1886) in 1886, and movement for the setting of the junior high school to Tsushima became popular. Therefore it is private 金城黌 to have been installed in (1892) in 1892. 金城黌 continued for 13 years until (1905) in 1905 when a public junior high school was established. At this time, the established public junior high school is a forerunner of Nagasaki Prefectural Tsushima Senior High School.

Connection with 熊本濟々黌

There were 濟々黌 (forerunner of 熊本県立済々黌高等学校) in Kumamoto and a close connection and it was without examination and was able to admit the student who completed 金城黌 (three years) for 濟々黌 four years. To the student who completes 金城黌, and was admitted into 濟々黌, there are really Kawamoto picked later by a Diet member [²].

Prehistory

• - "Izuhara associate junior high school" is established (1878) in 1878.

• The chief priest of the Hirayama Kotobuki Sea - Mitsukiyo temple (Izuhara Osamu Hisada).
