August (Oldenburg grand duke)
Paul Friedrich August (Paul Friedrich August, from July 13, 1783 to February 27, 1853) Oldenburg grand duke (reign from 1829 to 1853). I am called the Friedrich August first (Friedrich August I.).
Life
August was born as the eldest son with Peter Friedrich Kimiko Ludwig (the later Peter first) of the Oldenburg dukedom regency shrine between wife フリーデリケ phone ヴュルテンベルク and was registered at the Leibniz University from 1803 through 1805. When Oldenburg was occupied in 1811 by the French military, I took refuge in Russia with father and participated in the sixth vs. Datong faith war of Buddha.
August acted as the Estonian governor-general from 1811 through 1816 and adopted the policy that became the preliminary arrangement for the abolition of the serfdom in this area. After having been embedded with war from 1812 through 1814, August came back to Russia first, but returned to native land Oldenburg in 1816 after all.
August married daughter Adelheid of the Ann Hald = Bern Buruk = シャウムブルク = ホイム marquis Victor second in 1817, but she died in 1820 just to have given birth to two daughters. Therefore August made younger sister Idha of late Adelheid the second wife in 1825, but Idha laid heir and Nicolaus Friedrich Peter that it was, too and died already. In 1831, August did the youngest girl cake rear of Gustav fourth Adolf equal to the cousin and the third marriage in Swedish abolished King again.
August held the substantial sovereignty as a grand duke heir from 1821, but succeeded to the position of the grand duke formally when father died in 1829. As for August, the Oldenburg dukedom was promoted to the large dukedom with this using the title of "the grand duke" for a monarch of Oldenburg formally for the first time, too (in Oldenburg, the title of the grand duke was accepted by the Congress of Vienna of 1815, but was not really used). August founded decoration "Oldenburgischer Haus- und Verdienstorden des Herzogs Peter Friedrich Ludwig" which named the name of father in order to praise honor of father in 1838.
The large dukedom government established city area village regulations as the fundamental law which put social position rank in the basics replacing with the old village community in 1831. However, the people required a new constitutional establishment when a revolution happened in 1848. In pushed form, the grand duke approved a national fundamental law decided in a large dukedom assembly on February 18, 1849, but this was revised in 1852 by an intense protest movement and the demand from the council.
The new reclamation village formed in the remote place of the Ann mer Lunt county by the reign of August named the name of the grand duke and was named アウグストフェルン. A bust of August is put in the open space of the village of アウグストフェルン and reminds me of the Oldenburg grand duke country era.
Children
August did the first marriage with daughter Adelheid of the Ann Hald = Bern Buruk = シャウムブルク = ホイム marquis Victor second in 1817. The married couple got two daughters.
