VNREDSat-1A (Vietnam Natural Resources, Environment and Disaster-monitoring Satellite-1A) is a Vietnamese earth observing satellite launched on May 7, 2013. Next to communications satellite Vinasat-1 (2008) and Vinasat-2 (2012), it became the third man-made satellite which the Vietnamese government held [1].

Summary
VNREDSat-1A is the Vietnamese first earth observing satellite, and the image obtained from the satellite orbit is utilized for resource management, the environmental protection of each field including agriculture and forestry business, fishery, the mining industry, the damage grasp at the time of the disaster widely. The acquisition of the satellite and the use are carried out by Vietnamese technology House (VAST); of observation data remote sensing center of natural resources Ministry of the Environment (MONRE) is in charge of receiving and processing it. EADS ass thorium accepted an order of the production of VNREDSat-1A realized by an ODA loan from France in August, 2010. Training and the construction and display expense of the satellite engineer dispatched by Vietnam of reception facilities above the ground are included in 55,800,000 euros of the contract amount of money.
In VNREDSat-1A, smallsat bus AstroSat100 was assembled for the cause in Toulouse space center, and 15 engineers dispatched for the technical acquisition by Vietnam participated in this. It was launched by the second unit of the Vega rocket on May 7, 2013 by Guiana space center. Earth observing satellite PROBA-V of European Space Agency (ESA) and Estonian テザー promotion experimental satellite ESTCube-1 were carried as a riding together satellite by the same rocket.
It is one of the main aims, and, as for the acquisition and the use of the earth observing satellite, the second optics imaging satellite VNREDSat-1B is produced by ODA from Belgium in a Vietnamese space technology strategy planned by 2020 following VNREDSat-1A. Furthermore, two radar satellite JV-LOTUSat becomes expected to be acquired by an ODA loan from Japan.
Observation equipment
- Multi-van Doi Major NAOMI (New AstroSat Optical Modular Instrument)
- Multi-van Doi Major who observes it by 4 wavelengths for the near-infrared light from a visible ray. Durability, the observation width are 17.5km with resolution of 10m above the ground in 2.5m, a multi-spectrum by panchromatic. The collecting part uses コルシュ optical system to use three aspheric mirror in a reflecting telescope of diameter 20cm. Because the sensor is fixed to the satellite, the cases that want to watch a specific object closely frequently incline satellite in itself to 30 degrees around the plumb lower part and photograph it. The observation equipment of Naoko is put on AlSAT-2A, SSOT, SPOT-6 before VNREDSat-1A.
Footnote
- キューブサット "F-1" which the ^ FPT University where is private for a man-made satellite of Vietnam put on the orbit besides by 2012 produced in cooperation with Swedish Uppsala University exists.
