The Sri Lankan Liberal Party (Sri Lankan free father, Singhalese :ශ්රීලංකානිදහස්පක්ෂයSri Lanka Nidahas Pakshaya, Tamil :இலங்கைசுதந்திரக்கட்சி British: Sri Lanka Freedom Party) is a Sri Lankan political party.
Summary
In 1951, I am formed by Solomon Bandaranaike. It became one of the two major political parties since a grip for the first time in the government in 1956. After assassination of Solomon, it produced シリマヴォ Bandaranaike of the wife as the world's first woman prime minister, and チャンドリカ クマーラトゥンガ of the daughter became the President through the prime minister, too. The character called "a party of the Bandaranaikes" was heavy for a long time in this way.
The Sri Lankan Liberal Party was a Marxism political party at first, but I insist on social democracy and principle of nonalignment after the 1970s and have the socialism political party of each country and strong relations (but I do not join the Socialist International). An alliance fitted the Iraqi バアス party.
In addition, because there was the side called the political party of the Shin stomach Buddhism nationalism () and I made promotion, Buddhism (Sthavira) an associate state religion and did Shin stomach only policy while I crossed the Communist Party and socialism Samta party and coalition government, I called the furiousness of the Tamil (leading Hinduism mischief) who was a minority race in Sri Lanka and reached the demand to independently separate of original nation Tamil Elam and have finally invited the Sri Lanka civil war of the bog. On the other hand, the Shin stomach nationalism spouted out in the extreme left-like form and invited the civil war with the Maoist policy-like Sri Lankan people frente.
I led association of political party "alliance free to do general people" in a general election of 2004, and the alliance won 105 seats out of 225 seats (Sri Lankan people Liberation Front depending on peace participated in this, too, and it became the second power in the alliance, and the ruling party became you). I let Mahinda ラージャパクサ elect in the presidential election of November, 2005 from the party (because ラージャパクサ was the election that I broke クマーラトゥンガ in the party, the character called "the party of the Bandaranaikes" of the party faded away). With the achievements that the ラージャパクサ government exterminated Tamil Tigers in 2009, and won against a civil war, I decided snap general election in 2010. As a result, I won a great victory with 144 seats out of 225 seats in the whole alliance and occupied 161 seats including a member of the Diet who changed in the ruling party afterwards.
In the presidential election of 2015, my Tolly Parra シリセーナ which was the chief secretary grew away and beat ラージャパクサ which was the party leader. シリセーナ fought as an opposition party joint candidate in a presidential election, but, based on a rule that I appoint a person picked from one's own party of the Liberal Party after election by the President the party leader unconditionally, takes office as the party leader [3]. The division of a シリセーナ group and the ラージャパクサ group was in a state and suffered a complete defeat to lose 49 seats in the Diet election of August when I went as an opposition party afterwards [4].
