It is the consonant which is characteristic of Swedish, and a sj sound of Swedish (ごの sj おん, Swedish in Sweden: sj-ljudet) is sj and a silent fricative written down in orthography. Exclusive sign [ɧ] to express this sound to International Phonetic Alphabet exists.
It is not a rare sound for the speaker of Swedish, but the description of the phonetician does not necessarily accord how this sound is articulated.

Sound
I assume this sound "double tuning (simultaneousʃand x) of ʃ and x" in I.P.A., but it is unnatural that friction happens with two places and is hard to think that such a tuning may be really done [1].
The オッレ agma strand assumes this sound silent dorsum of tongue, hard palate / soft palate fricative (voiceless dorso-palatal/velar fricative) in "IPA handbook" [2].
The real pronunciation varies according to a geographical and social dialect. That pronunciation according to following covers is really good, and, according to the reinterpretation of the description of Per Lindblad by Peter Ladefoged and the Ian madison, [ɧ] appears [3].
- By the silent lips and teeth fricative that became soft palate, the upper lip pushes it out with Japanese yen lips characteristics more.
- It is a silent soft palate fricative, but friction is weak in comparison with [x] and may be some former gathering.
Notation
The orthography top of Swedish is written down with skj, stj, sch, ti (partly), sk (before front vowel) other than sj. It is caused by coming from some different sounds historically and having accepted /ʃ/ by this sound in an absorbed word that there are many kinds of the spelling.
Tongue twister
[ɧ] As a lot of を sentence that I used, the following is famous (with some varieties similar an underline part [ɧ].).
- Sjuttiosju skönsjungande sjuksköterskor skötte sju sjösjuka sjömän påskeppet till Shanghai.
(77 good nurses of the song nursed seven sailors who got seasick on a ship to Shanghai)
