The Shimonoseki-shi government office (しものせきしやくしょ) is a facility performing the office work as the executive organ of Shimonoseki-shi, Yamaguchi (government office).

City hall (central government office facilities)

It is located in the corner of the one hinged door district of the central city area area of Shimonoseki-shi. There is it at the north side immediate position of the hinged door intersection where the prefectural road Shimonoseki Port line intersects National highway No. 9, and there may be tourist attractions such as the cough aquarium sea sound building of the hinged door market palm in the outskirts, and the outskirts are always crowded regardless of the weekend on weekdays. The move of this Government building was considered from the problem of the Government building position at the time of the wide area merger with a Government building having become obsolete, but I was withdrawn later (later description), and I started construction, and the completion opened a new building in 2015 in 2012 [1].

Tourism industry part

It is in the Shimonoseki-shi government office first annex of 5-6, Tanakamachi, Shimonoseki-shi of the north side from this Government building.

This building was built as former Shimonoseki telegraphic communication station telephone section office in (1923) in 1923 by a design of the Ministry of Communications repairs section, and it was moved, and possession has been used for Shimonoseki-shi as Shimonoseki-shi welfare centers in (1969) in 1969 by Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Public Corporation at the time. However, activity for the preservation happens in an area when Shimonoseki-shi shows a policy to dismantle a building for deterioration (1990) in August in 1990, and a policy of the preservation is appointed in a tangible cultural property of Shimonoseki-shi after twists and turns such as the partial dismantling in a municipal assembly in decision, 2002 in (2000) in 2000.

Each section (sightseeing promotion section, commercial and industrial promotion section, company location promotion room, tourist facility section) of the tourism industry part enters it now.

A general branch is put in the town office of old four before the merger and takes civic services. I have a branch of the general branch jurisdiction in a part.

Former Kikukawa-cho government office. It is located along the old road of the prefectural road Shimonoseki Nagato Line.

Examination and withdrawal of the city hall move

In the case of a wide area merger of 2005, the position of the Shimonoseki-shi government office central government office building became the problem. It is said that I am going to perform seismic strengthening after having demolished an extension about this Government building.
