History

I survey the early modern history the Middle Ages about world heritage registration. Refer to the history of Regensburg for the complete history.

Regensburg became the empire free city in 1245 and was a center of the trade until a trade road changed in late Middle Ages. In 1486, Regensburg was incorporated in the Bayern dukedom, but the independency was restored in 1496 by Holy Roman Empire.

The municipal assembly was a Luther group until I was incorporated in the Regensburg dukedom (Principality of Regensburg) with curl phone Dahl Berg in 1803 because Regensburg accepted the Reformation in 1542. The citizen's minority remained in Roman Catholicism, but the citizenship (Bürgerrecht) was deprived of. However, you must not confuse Regensburg City and the Regensburg pontificate. The city accepted the Reformation, but it continued being a bishop seat of Roman Catholic Church, and plural monasteries existed, too. Because a position was recognized in Holy Roman Empire in Saint Eymet lamb monastery, kneader Munster monastery, the overMunster monastery, I had a seat and a right to vote toward the Imperial Diet. As a result, that, in the town of Regensburg, Protestant town itself, bishop seat of Roman Catholic Church, independent "states" of five called 3 monasteries mentioned above keep regular; was in a unique situation.

In the city, Holy Roman Empire assembly was established permanently from 1663 through 1806. Thus, Regensburg became one of the central city of the empire and was full of many visitors.
