Summary
An article "is not important to the IT", and announce ("IT Doesn't Matter") to Harvard business review in 2003, and continue; and in 2004 from Harvard business school press "the IT is important; is publication in - information technology and weakening (Does IT Matter? Information Technology and the Corrosion of Competitive Advantage) of the competitiveness". I insisted that the importance of the information technology strategy in the business diminished gradually as information technology became lateralization, standardization, a low price and roused a big reaction. I sparked a disturbance [3] and invited the fierce reaction of main business executives such as Microsoft, Intel Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. to the IT industry, but was asked a lot about the voice to support the claim [4].
Furthermore, in 2004, I announce debate-like [5] article "end ("The End of Corporate Computing") of the corporate computing" in MIT Sloan Management Review. I state that the company will raise IT as part of facilities service in the future from the outside here.
In January, 2008, it is W. in "great switch (The Big Switch: Rewiring the World, From Edison to Google) of world - business model construction to become a cloud" W. It is published by Norton. This considers it while comparing the thing which a computer technology to assume the Internet basics brings in economy, the society with the electricity industry in the 20th century [6].
In January, 2008, I became the member of the adviser council (Editorial Board of Advisors) of "the Encyclopaedia Britannica" [7].
Web 2.0 criticism
I perform criticism for the optimistic technology thought in blog "Rough Type" of oneself and am critical in the logic, in particular, to lift a social production (not a nation and a company a production of free fortunes act by the social group.as a specific example Wikipedia) in the Internet. I announce the essay titled "non-morality ("The Amorality of Web 2.0 ") of Web 2.0" in 2005, and, about a project of Web 2.0 by Wikipedia and the volunteer including the blogosphere, these expel the work of the professional put in the disadvantageous situation economically and criticize it when finally social bring harm [8]. Jimmy Wales which was a virtual representative recognized an article (done a biography matter of Jane Fonda and Bill Gates with result of the work for a little less than five years by so-called "meeting intellect") of Wikipedia pulled as an example now saying "it is hardly shit not to endure if I read it" and, for criticism, demanded advice to improve "what should I do?" and quality of Wikipedia in one of the joint founders of Wikipedia [9] [10].
One (search engine optimization) of that a page of Wikipedia accounts for most of search results in May, 2007 is the dangerous state that traffic and authority of the Internet were tied to and points out that I lead "information colonization" ("information plantation") [11]. Furthermore, I invented derogatory term "ウィキクラッツ" (Wiki + ビューロクラッツ) for the manager of Wikipedia while I criticized that I tended to make complicated structure including a rule and the governmental bureaucracy as Wikipedia passed through time in August, 2007 [12].
