Station summary
雄別炭礦鉄道 (railroad according to the later male) established it in (1952) in 1952 to load coal onto a ship at Kushiro Kohoku Wharf maintained in (1950) in 1950. A coal reserve place was established in the yard, and the freight train which was fully loaded with coal from the coal mines according to the male came. Cement, the manure came to be handled afterwards, too.
The coal transportation was abolished with the closedown of the coal mine in (1970) in 1970, but I was succeeded by Kushiro development Wharf because it was an important route of the carriage of goods to link the Japanese National Railways to the Kushiro Port. However, when it was the 1980s, the transport volume decreased, and matched it with Japanese National Railways time schedule revision of February 1 (1984) in 1984 and was abolished on the same day.
For last years, I performed current Ube Mitsubishi Cement Co., Ltd. Kushiro service station, the cement transportation of the Taiheiyo Cement Corp. Kushiro service station (I move and am closed down) or the transportation by boxcar to the warehouse group in the north Wharf. In addition, there was an oil tank place (1977) until the time in 1977, and there were the oil shipments, too, but was finished because an oil tank place moved to west Port Station.
In addition, Japanese National Railways beach Kushiro Station was at Chuo Wharf of the east side. There was not handling of the container at our station, but sold containers mainly at beach Kushiro Station.
