In the Isa Bella Island (Spanish: Isla Isabela, アルベマール island, English: Albemarle Island), [1], the area are 4,588km2[2] in the island where is greatest in the Galapagos Islands. It is located right on the equator, and the equator passes the northern part of the island. Only in the island this as for the one right on the equator in the Galapagos Islands.

Is one of the newest islands located in the west end of the island where the Isa Bella Island forms a line as a line near the hotspot (Galápagos hotspot) of the Galapagos Islands [3]; [4].

I have the Isa Bella Island from six volcanoes, and there are [5], approximately 5-10km in diameter and the caldera that it is to five ranging shield volcanoes except the Ecuadorian volcano [1], and there is altitude more than 1,000m each [6]. It is a wolf volcano of 1,707m above sea level in the northern part to be the highest [7]. The volcano of these five is new as a volcano located the north [8], but it is in the place that is the still most active volcanic activity as for all of the volcano of five of them except the Ecuadorian volcano [9]; [10].

5 subspecies of the Galapagos elephant tortoise becoming inherent to every volcano have habitation [11], and a lot of creatures such as [12], marine iguana (subspecies A. c. albemarlensis) [13], ガラパゴスリクイグアナ, Galapagos sea lion, Galapagos penguin, ガラパゴスコバネウ, アオアシカツオドリ, カッショクペリカン, ベニイロフラミンゴ live in the island [14].

It is thirdly an island with much population (2,256 people, 2010 statistics) in the Galapagos Islands [15] and concentrates on it around town in the southeast of the island, プエルト villa mil (Puerto Villamil).

The origin of the name is associated with the name of the Spanish Queen Isabelle first who supported the exploration of Christopher Columbus. The アルベマール Island of the fame was named for Duke of アルベマール.
