A general policy department (そうごうせいさくがくぶ) is a department of the universities for the purpose of the education study of the general political science. The degree that graduates, and is conferred is "a bachelor" mainly (general political science). In addition, the conferment example such as bachelors (general policy) is seen, too.

The general policy department is intended that I train a company, an international organization, an expert, a businessman, a researcher of the policy making in other non profit organizations as well as the drafting of the policy in a nation and the local public entity. I have the property that the specialty of the social science domain in the college of liberal arts is near with me to study it comprehensively to the study domain to cross the fields of the humanities, the natural science necessary for analysis and the drafting of the policy while being based on social science.

A lot of courses in the graduate school are generally beyond the course of the department, and, in the United States of America, the policy system department does not exist a lot. It is installed by names such as Policy Studies, and most develop as an employment system graduate school of the field of politics, administration. About this tide, International Christian University (ICU) graduate school public administration graduate course installed in 1963 is naive in Japan in Japan, and the university where even a national university installs public policy graduate schools in as the organization where is different from the department is frequent.
