Dark John ヴラグ (Dirk John Vlug[1], from August 20, 1916 to June 26, 1996) is an officer of the United States of America. I was embedded with World War II as an officer of the U.S. Armies. A person of Congressional Medal receipt of a decoration.

Career
In 1916, I receive life in Minnesota Maple lake.
In April, 1941, I enter the army in Michigan Grand Rapids [2]. The assignment was the 32nd Infantry Division 126th infantry stationed to camping Livingstone () of Louisiana in those days (); [3]. On December 15, 1944, the dispatched ヴラグ first class private (Private First Class) raised military gains to destroy five Japanese forces tank alone to the Leyte Lee mon (Limon) of the Philippine front.
On June 26, 1946, the conferment of Congressional Medal for ヴラグ was carried out. ヴラグ was already discharged from the army and worked as a machine operator in those days in a factory of American sheeting company (American Seating Co.) [4]. He was a person of Congressional Medal receipt of a decoration first for グランドスピッズ citizen.
Worked to Michigan guardsman () from May, 1949, and retired as a sergeant major (Master Sergeant) in January, 1951 [5]; [3].
In 1996, I died at 79 years old. The corpse was buried in the Greenwood graveyard (Greenwood Cemetery) of Grand Rapids.
Congressional Medal patent of decoration
It is written down to the patent of decoration of Congressional Medal conferred on ヴラグ as follows.
When the U.S. forces checkpoint of the Orr mock highway caught the attack of the enemy tank corps, he showed bravery and the prowess that a kind to surpass duty assigned to me was rare. In the intense bombardment with a machine gun and the 37mm gun, he jumped out of shielding having a rocket launcher and six bullets. After having put a rocket bomb by oneself, I killed all the crew with one shooting and at first destroyed a tank of the first car. He tried that the crews of the tank of the second car got off and attacked him, but he shot one of those dead with a pistol. Other soldiers escaped in a tank again, but the second shot rocket bomb destroyed this tank. I moved to the front again and already destroyed one while his overthrowing this from the side of the lead car when the tank of three remainder moved on the road, and receiving the intense counterfire from an enemy. The enemy tank did 擱座 by the last shooting and rolled down a steep embankment for it. With courage not to waver while facing many enemies, the ヴラグ first class private destroyed five enemy tanks alone and facilitated the duty accomplishment of the battalion.
