Cosmos 359 (Russianосмос-359, an example of the Roman letters notation: Kosmos 359, Cosmos 359) is the space machine which the Soviet Union launched in 1970. I was washed ashore on the space transitional orbit as a Venus orbiter, but was given the name of the cosmos satellite because I was not able to pick you up on the orbit toward the Venus [2].

Flight

Cosmos 359 was launched by Morny-ya rocket on August 22, 1970 by Baikonur space station. After I was spent in the space transitional orbit, the space probe jetted a rocket to move to the Venus transitional orbit. However, the jet was not carried out normally and I moved to the earth go-around elliptic orbit and was over [2]. On November 6, 1970 two and a half months after the launching, the satellite broke into the atmosphere of the earth again [1].

It is thought that this space probe comprised a lander in ベネラ 7 and a plane launched seven days ago of the same type [2].
