Origin

I am a graduate from Daido Kogyo Senior High School (existing Datong university Datong high school) (1960) in March for 1,960 years [¹]. In April of the year, it is adopted by the Shinkawamachi staff. I act as a deputy mayor of town the third from (1990) in 1990. I take office as (2002), the mayor in 2002 [²].

I found it, and Nishikasugai-gun Nishibiwajima-cho, Shinkawamachi, Kiyosu-cho merges (2005) on July 7 in 2005, and Kiyosu-shi starts. I show up in person, and it is won for the first time by the mayoral election held with this on August 7.

I am reelected without voting (2009) in 2009.

Break Hideto Watanabe of the cause member of a city council, cause member of prefectural assembly for the mayor choice held on July 21 (2013) 2013; three selections (Kato: 16,169 votes, Watanabe: 12,961 votes). The turnout 57.43% [³].
