VU meter (buoy you meter, VU Meter) is a measuring instrument to order a feeling of volume (volume unit) in acoustic equipment. The VU meter was developed in 1939 by Bell Laboratories and CBS, NBC to watch the standard level of the communication track.

The VU meter is made from a voltmeter with a full-wave rectifier, the variable attenuator that characteristic impedance maintains the same, three components of the outside series resistance [4].

As for the characteristic impedance of the VU meter, +-3% of 7,500 Ω is preferable [5]; [explanatory note 3].

The instructions range of the VU meter is +3VU from -20VU. When I input 1KHz sine wave signal equal to 0VU after no signal, it is 300ms, error ± 30ms at time before a needle passing the point of 99% of 0VU. The stitches exceed a point of 0VU by all means and it is lowest and exceeds 1% and, however, it is the best and produces an overshot not to reach 1.5% [6]. That, as for the return time, do not be greatly different from reply speed [7].
