It is located in the southern part of Okazaki-shi. The Meitetsu Okazaki-shi extension which was a streetcar ran in the town, and Tosakicho Station was established once. The Aichi prefectural road 483 Kota, Okazaki Line that Okazaki-shi extension ran is called a street with a car track now.

I assume Koozu, Nukata Sakimura a forerunner. It was Okazaki feudal clan in the Edo era. It merged with feather village, pillar village, young Matsumura, needle Sakimura, and it was in Okazaki village for 1,889 years. It was admitted into Okazaki-shi in 1928 and became Tosakicho, Okazaki-shi. Misakicho, Kouyama-cho, Eguchi 3, Tosakishinmachi, Tosakimotomachi and Nakadamachi are separated from Tosakicho in 1980 by Okazaki city planning southern part land readjustment project [1].
