The Japan Series
 <1963 1965 >

The Japan Series (the Japan series that 1964 does not lie, 1964 ねんのにほん series) of 1964 is first Central League championship in 2 years and Hanshin Tigers and first Pacific League championship in 3 years and the 15th professional baseball Japan championship series by south seas Hawks that it was that it was since 1962 performed from October 1, 1964 to October 10. It was performed as Kansai decisive battle (Mido line series [1]) in 2 baseball stadiums of Hanshin Koshien Stadium and Osaka Stadium in October. This age was regulated in a schedule so that the holding of the Tokyo Olympics could get it ready and was opened by a series history first night game [2]. The Japan Series becomes the form to be performed in all game day game again during until 1993 from the next year.

This series was declared with the foreign series, and, other than スタンカ mentioned above, in the south seas, in Hadley, Logan, Hanshin, buckie, Burnside (pitcher each) and others played an active part [3]. In addition, as for the series of this age, audience mobilization failed to rise. As the paid visitors of each game show it on the next face.

Game The paid entrance staff [4]
First round 19,904 people
The second war 19,190 people
The third war 29,932 people
The fourth war 30,107 people
Fifth round 26,962 people
Sixth round 25,471 people
Seventh round 15,172 people
The total 166,738 people
One game average 23,820 people

In this way, Osaka Stadium became the full prosperity (only as for the fourth war beyond 30,000) with three games, but other three games broke 20,000 though a vacant seat was outstanding in the stands in Koshien that accommodated 50,000 people in contrast and finally went over 25,000 by the sixth war that championship of Hanshin suffered from, and, as for 15,172 people of the seventh round [5], it was an each generation minimum for attendance of the Japan Series most end of the war particularly.

In addition, I said, "I do not begin the next inning when it was past 22:30" as extra time established も exception of the meeting of this age. (it was said that I usually continued it until the time at sunset)

As stated above, this age was regulated in a schedule so that the holding of the Tokyo Olympics could get it ready and was opened by the first night game in history of series. The series start was a plan of Tuesday, September 29 at first, but an ocean and a fight for championship of Hanshin become complicated till the last and postpone it on 2nd without being in time for scheduled start date. It was doubleheader with the middle day of Wednesday, September 30 that Hanshin decided championship, and it was a forced march to face the series from the league championship decision next day [2]. Therefore it was 慌 correctness that the decoration of the series was carried out through the night after a war ended Koshien on the middle day.
