Origin

A native place of Jiangsu Nanchung City. In World Swimming Championship 400m individual medley held in Perth in 1991, I won the first gold medal for the swimming race world in China [²]. The forest served as championship by 200-meter individual medley on January 12 of this meeting [²] and established a milestone.

In 1992, the forest participated in the Barcelona Olympics to be the oneself second and acquired a silver medal by a 400m individual medley performed on July 26 [³]. I participated in the 200m breast stroke on 27th, the following day and came second next to Japanese Kyoko Iwasaki [⁴]. It was 200-meter individual medley carried out on 30th to have been the best part, and the forest won the championship at a new world record of 65 for two minutes 11 seconds [⁵]. In addition, the new world record establishment was a splendid achievement first as a swimming race player in China.

I participated in the Atlanta Olympics to become the three major meeting continuations in 1996 and won a bronze medal by 200-meter individual medley [⁶]. In addition, the player whom three major meeting continuations participated in in swimming race world in China has a forest all alone.

Retire in 1997, and get married with a meteorology doctor working in the Silicon Valley in 2002, and live in San Jose now, and act as a swimming coach in a hometown club [⁷]; [^{broken link}].

In 2008, the forest was picked by the first runner in the United States of the BEIJING OLYMPIC sacred-fire relay and I ran in San Francisco and tied a blowtorch [⁸].
