Sony timer

The Sony timer (English: Sony timer, Sony kill switch) is an urban legend "to control product life precisely in Sony to have trouble at time fixed using the high technology" that came out of a rumor, "trouble is frequent just after the end as for the Sony product for a maker term of a guarantee of one year". I am told that I came to be used many from the late 1970s when the competition with the overseas product was the fiercest. It is said that what I teach you intentionally is impossible to implant a negative image in consumers, and to promote the transfer to other brands unless such "training" is a maker monopolizing a share [¹].

Sony has been troubled over these 20 years in Japan by the urban legend called "Sony timer". Still, will the time bomb to let a product break down right after a term of a guarantee expired be true? I believe that there are many Japanese purely.

A note PC made in more than 4100000 Dell which incorporated defective battery of Sony will spread the rumor that the matter recalled in 2006 lasts for dozens of years, and was whispered at a bound. Japanese geek and technical geeks made the existence of the Sony timer the material of the joke from 1980 through 2006 and cleared myself from pent-up anger in bulletin board system when they made the comics that got more like irony. However, by a recall of Dell, the urban legend came to be known to the world, and, as for the angry people, this jumped at only a favorable factor to swat Sony in the defectiveness of the Sony product.
