Raji cell
The Raji cell (large さいぼう) strain is the first human-related cell strain to subculture consecutively derived from a hematopoietic () cell [1]. Based on a morphologic characteristic, the Raji cell is classified as lymphoblastic [2]. This floating cell comes from the B lymphocyte of the 11 years old male Nigerian Burkitt lymphoma patient in 1963. R. J. V. Pulvertaft established this cell strain for the first time [2]. The RPMI nutrient medium which serum was supplemented with is used for culture. I may not differentiate for the characteristic of the Raji cell, and the formation of the big aggregate consisting of several hundred cells is seen. The diameter of cell has a nucleus relatively greatly (5-8μm) uneven irregularly and wide cytoplasm with the free aggregate ribosome [3]. The Raji cell is unitary and grows up as fault kineticism, floating-related individual treatment or a doublet. Such as the pear which some cells are big, and is round with many nuclei extended it; have a shape [3].
The Raji cell is used widely to understand the malignant transformation of transfection host としてや, a hematopoietic cell or other cells. In addition, I am used for the detection of the immune complex () because I develop many receptors for the complement ingredient in the same way as a Fc receptor for the immunoglobulin G [4].
