It is the topography of the natural rock seen along the eastern part of Siberia pole, the Lena of the Russian Federation, and the pillar group of the Lena (Russian :Ле́нскиестолбы́, rhenaがわのちゅうぐん) exists in the place of the distance not to suffer from in approximately 180 kilometers of upper reaches [1], boat from capital Yakutsk of the Sakha Republic on 1st either [2]. The height of the pillar group was formed by the erosion that a temperature range of the year to become upheaval and 100 degrees of the Cambrian ocean basin at 300 meters from 150 meters brought. The whole area was appointed in Lena Pillars Nature Park (Ren Kie ストルブイ nature park) in 1995, and it was registered with a list of world heritages of UNESCO in 2012 [3].

Geography
The stone pillar group becomes from the layers such as limestone, marl (), dolomite, the slate from early period of Cambrian period to the middle and it is steep and is exposed by erosion [4]. The rocks of these types were formed generally in marine environment, and horizontal stratification and the vertical change show a state of transgression and the regression to the deep sea with the slate indicating there having been it.
The erosion that formed stone pillar group was called freezing rubble action (Cryoclastie), and difference of the difference of temperature that it was to summer and winter 100 degrees that an extreme continental climate brought brought it. By action of freeze and the thawing, the water drilled a narrow groove from the surface and tore off the most firm part of the rock little by little and formed the stone pillar group which remained now [5].
The pillar group of Rena is made much of as a Cambrian fossil production center [6].
World heritage
Lena Pillars Nature Park was set by the Sakha Republic in 1995. This park "was listed in the tentativeness list of the world heritage by a name natural park "pillar group (Nature Park "Lena Pillars") of Rena" in 2006 [7]. I was recommended first for the 33rd world heritage Committee (2009), but I received an advice of "the non-registration" then from the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) which was a consultative body of world heritage Committee and withdrew it before the deliberation.
I was recommended some other time for the 36th world heritage Committee (2012) in 2011, but, at this time, the IUCN urged "registration postponement" [8]. What IUCN nominated for a reason is a defect of the integrity to come from non-adequacy of the setting and that of recommendation range. If it was a necessary part, and the reconsideration of the range was not performed for both proof of value of the nature beauty that the Russia authorities recommended and the value of the geologic paleontology, the Shinya shop river () basin who was a branch of the range outside recommended by the judgment of the IUCN particularly the Lena did it when which value was hard to admit for a world heritage [9].
However, an advice was overturned in the 36th world heritage committee meeting held in St. Petersburg and became the registration with area (1,272,150 hectares) according to the original recommendation [10]. It is the 25th world heritage for a Russian world heritage (for the natural inheritance the tenth). But, in the value that Russia recommended at first, factor of the natural beauty was not accepted and became the registration only in value of the geologic paleontology. In addition, I was called when I examined the possibility of the extended registration of the Shinya-ya abandonment area [11].
Plural world heritages for the fossil production centers of the extinct animals and plants before the human appearance were registered with a list of world heritages. It was only Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks including the Burgess shale to have been enrolled in a world heritage in that at a Cambrian fossil production center (Canadian world heritage, 1984 registration), but, in the 36th world heritage Committee, the fossil production center (world heritage of the People's Republic of China) of not only this Lena Pillars Nature Park but also Sumie was registered, and two increased.
