Summary

This museum opened it for the purpose of conveying the history of the marine transportation of Japan through history of a company of Nippon Yusen in history. I display the history from the Meiji Restoration to current Nippon Yusen in the permanent exhibition and perform a plan exhibition and an event in the others.

Yokohama mail boat building

It is a building of the Greece Corinthian order completed in 1936. I performed large-scale repair to assume it a museum in 2003. Therefore I did changing it by a ceiling or illumination to do the first-floor part on a street at the completion. I evaluate it and win it in the 15th BELCA prize best reform section. ^[2]
