The town where Misaki-cho (Misaki town) was in Isumi-gun, Chiba. There is 南端太東崎 of Kujukuri Beach derived from of the name "cape" of the town.

It merged with Ohara-cho, Isumimachi on December 5, 2005 and became extinct with Isumi-shi birth.

Geography

Isumi River flows through the center of the town. The Kujukuri plains to Ichinomiya-machi are over in 太東崎, and the south becomes the mountain がちな topography little by little from here. In addition, ups and downs come to be born in the shoreline. Fishing ports increase in the coastal place of the south side from Misakicho to be from our town and to the south, and to ride the large-scale fishing boat, and to be enabled whereas Kujukuri Beach north than this is shallow for a good distance from the shore and is not suitable for the entry of medium-sized above-mentioned fishing boats.
