Lobster eyes slanting downward (lobster かもく, a scientific name: Achelata) are one of the lower taxa of the tenth piece. I include the large Amao prawns including a lobster, ハコエビ, round fan prawns, sandals prawns, semi-prawns.
Achelata "does not have -" "A" = and, with "chelata" = "scissors," has a meaning, "there are not scissors".
Was settled once as lobster declining trend Palinura (the Japanese name agrees with Achelata) in conjunction with current Senju prawns declining trend Polychelida by Borradaile (1907), but it became clear to be the other system, and was separated by Scholtz & Richter (1995) [1]; [2].
Table of contents
Characteristic
All kinds are distributed with marine products mainly from the tropical zone to the subtropical zone.
There are many kinds from Asanami to the deep sea, and the length of the mature form is different by a kind from ヒメセミエビ like number cm to Nishiki prawns of 50 cm or more, but large-scale for prawns a lot of things more than 20cm in length. All the large-scale kinds are fished for food, and there are many things becoming the important marine resources.
An external skeleton develops on not only the body but also a gnathoped and the second feeler. The second feeler has little gnarl. The fifth female gnathoped becomes the small scissors leg to take care of the egg, but other gnathopeds do not have the scissors.
There is not the swimming power to swim a long distance to a mature form and lives while walking all in the bottom of the sea. All the mature forms have a thick, firm external skeleton. A female holds the fertilized egg in pleopod like other prawns suborders and protects it until I hatch.
The larva which just hatched is called phyllo soma larva (phyllosoma) and does a unique form to have long swimmeret to the body such as the leaf of the broadleaf tree. The phyllo soma larva floats the whole sea as plankton, but the swimming period is relatively longer than other prawns eyes and grows up to size considerable for a larva sending number cm degree and floating life again and I keep this time alive and open distribution. Because a form and the habits were far apart from the parent, was discovered in the 19th century; was listed as new taxa of prawns eyes at first. The larva which grew up takes root in the place suitable for each habitation and I metamorphose into 稚 prawns and colonize.
Classification
De Grave et al. (2009) による [2].
The course only including a fossil class is it in 2 department. I include by the 1 genus each.
- †Cancrinidae Beurlen, 1930 - Cancrinos
- †Tricarinidae Feldmann, Kolahdouz, Biranvand & Schweigert, 2007 - Tricarina
The course including the actual money class is a 2 department. The details refer to each item.
- 60 kinds of lobster department Palinuridae Latreille, 1802 - approximately 12 genus. Lobster・Ryoma prawns・ハコエビなど.
- 90 kinds of semi-prawns department Scyllaridae Latreille, 1825 - approximately 20 genus. Semi-prawns・Round fan prawns・Sandals prawns・ヒメセミエビなど.
ヨロンエビ department Synaxidae existed in addition to this 2 department, and ヨロンエビ genus Palinurellus and Palibythus were included once. Opposing opinion kept regular since Davie (1990) integrated ヨロンエビ department with lobster department [3], but, by molecular system analysis, became clear when these 2 genus was base-like lobster department [4].
The group that was included in an old lobster declining trend
I meet a current classification and write down a group included in old lobster declining trend Palinura.
Senju prawns declining trend
It was included as the genus of Senju prawns superfamily Eryonoidea De Haan, 1841 and some superfamily ignorance.
The length of the mature form is approximately 10cm. Compound eyes are small, and the feeler is short, too. Small splinter and bristles grow thick in the husk of the surface of a body. The husk of the body is hard, but the gnathoped is not so tough into long pieces. Previous four pairs are scissors legs in five pairs, and the gnathoped has a long particularly first gnathoped.
For deep sea life, it is made bycatch with other edible kinds, but there is few it, and the fish catches do not become edible. Many kinds are reported so far in all parts of the world, but the habits still have many mysteries.

Old days lobster declining trend
The declining trend that lobster declining trend Glypheidea is closely related in crawfish time toward a decline in old days. Some extinction genus was moved by Polychelida.
