Origin of the name

Because "the Japanese line" was used as another name of Kisogawa in the neighborhood, it was named "line Ohashi".

History

In the Edo era, in 支川 of Kisogawa, it was all done an abolished river by the construction of the wall bank. Therefore, I built the agriculture water that the inhabitants who obtained agriculture water from this 支川 were in trouble and got water from Kisogawa. Kotsuyosui was built, and it was Gifu side early in the Showa era, and, early in the Edo era, Hashima water was built with Miyata water on the Owari country side. However, supply of the stable water was difficult, and, by the changes of a flood and the flow, the troubles around the water appeared one after another, too.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry took time of ten years from (1957) in 1957 to solve this and built the Inuyama irrigation to unify intakes of Hashima water, Miyata water, three water of Kotsuyosui. In addition, I built a bridge over this dam, and a traffic jam did it by the combination with the Meitetsu train in those days with a detour route of the frequent Inuyama Bridge.

A bridge for the management completed (2007) in January on June 18 in 2007 was opened as a way for exclusive use of the walkers.

Deterioration advances, and repair work is carried out now for several years.
