Industrial district
Many industrial facilities accumulate it, and an industrial district (こうぎょうちいき) or an industrial area (こうぎょうちたい) is the area that a ratio is high in of the industrial production among the total production. An industrial district and the industrial area do not have the clear definition, but both can use it properly almost as follows.
- I call a thing opening in a belt along the streets such as the shore or a road, the railroad with an industrial area in particular.
- In Japan, call only Keihin, Nakagyo, Hanshin, the four major industrial districts of Kitakyusyu an industrial area in consideration of the history and a scale, and call others an industrial district, and may distinguish it (may assume Kitakyusyu an industrial district recently); [1]. But, any place other than the four major industrial districts, the name called the industrial area is used formally, and there are many things spreading generally.
An industrial district formed in the seaside is called a seaside industrial district (zone). It is made in reclaimed land and the reclaimed land and often has an exclusive harbor. It is advantageous to the export of acquisition and the product of raw materials and is seen in the country having high ratio of the import of raw materials, fuel including Japan well. Conversely, the industrial district in the inland is called an inland industrial district (zone).
