The Goishi swallow corbicula (go stone swallow blue, Shijimia moorei) is a kind of the butterflies of the butterfly eyes blue department.

I was discovered in Mt. Ichifusa of Kumamoto in 1973 and, in 1975, was appointed to a natural monument (I do not establish kind designation, an area) of Japan. In addition, in 1996, I am appointed in domestic rare nature animals and plants foundation (the preservation method of the kind).

Characteristic

The surface of the feather is blackish brown and is the butterfly that it is likely that the back side put the spot of the lycaenid on the wing of the swallow corbicula. But it is not a close species because the lycaenid belongs to a crab reed corbicula subfamily. The kind that is the most closely related to this seed is swallow corbicula and Taiwan swallow corbicula.

Habits

The larval edible grass シシンラン (gesneria family). But I eat a flower not a leaf. The imago absorbs the honey of the flowers such as アカメガシ, Hydrangea paniculata, the ranunculus. It occurs from the early summer to the summer. The wintering state is a larva.

They inhabit the forest, but this is limitation of the edible grass, and the habits of this seed are not ゼフィルス mainly.

I inhabit only Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Nara in Japan. Because it is a natural monument, of course I cannot collect it. I inhabit China and Taiwan, the Assam district, India in the foreign territory.
