Brief career history

In 1970, I form it in two people of Kimura and Uchida. The first stage was a stage of the school festivals of Osaka where three people except Hanaoka were registered at City industrial arts Senior High School. Uchida thought about the band name by the Japanese translation of "the blues band" [1]. After graduation from high school, I perform a live regularly in a cafe of Abeno.

In 1974, Shimada joins Hanaoka, a drum to a base.

On October 1, 1975, it is made its debut in single "cleansing aunties" by the showboat label of the triolet cord. The music was known as their representative music, but was subject to broadcast prohibition by a reason, "it was the song which was discriminatory for a cleaning lady" one week later [2].

In December, 1976, I act as opening act and the back band of the visit to Japan performance of three P John S Thijs. The design of this time becomes the live board titled "Blues Is A Live".

In May, 1980, I joint it in Muddy Waters and Tokyo, Osaka.

On February 28, 1982, I joint it with RC サクセション in NHK-FM special program "Blues Made In Japan". In May, I give a concert to a guest in Reiichi Nakaido by a Hibi Yano sound.

In 1983, I transfer to a four life record and release "relaxation deluxe".

I appear for Japan blues carnival held in Hibiya outdoor concert stage in July, 1986. Until a layoff, I appeared for the carnival every year afterward.

In June, 1988, I appear for Chicago blouse festival of Illinois Chicago, the United States as a Japanese for the first time. Album "BLUE'S" which made Chinka Ko a producer becomes the big hit since the organization.

In 1990, I establish 憂歌団 office with the union shuffle (the Okumura ひでまろ president) dissolution that is previous position company. Hanaoka takes office as President Hatsuyo by rock, paper, scissors. Kimura changes the name to Atsuki Kimura. Hanaoka changes the name successively to 花岡献治, too.

In 1993, I leave the four life and transfer to Warner Music. I release album "GON-TA".

In 1996, I am in charge of theme music of an opening and the ending in 4 items of TV animated cartoon "GeGeGe no Kitaro". In addition, all the members appeared in the part of person in Episode 33 in particular as the band which plagiarized the song of the ghost さら boy.

In 1998, I declared the hibernation of the band and performed the last concert in Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo in December of the year [3].

On October 2, 2012, Shimada became the corpse near the stairs of the home apartment of Chuo-ku, Kobe-shi and was discovered and was concluded to be suicide afterwards [4].

In May, 2013, I announce the re-organization.

On August 3, I appear for "passion continent SPECIAL LIVE
SUMMER TIME BONANZA'13" Osaka performance. On August 10, I appear for Tokyo performance.

Live revival in Namba Hatch for .8 days on September 7; "news from 憂歌団 is holding in ... Kazuo Shimada festival ...". "Gong Mars" by original three members and four guest drummers (was formation called Kozo Niida 〈 ex.RC サクセション 〉, Tetsuya Kajiwara 〈 ex.THE BLUE HEARTS 〉, Masayuki KobayashiJUN SKY WALKER(S) 〉, Shoji Sugiyama-maru 〈 MOJO CLUB 〉).
