3-hydroxy benzoic acid-2-monooxygenase (3-hydroxybenzoate 2-monooxygenase) is an oxidation-reduction enzyme catalyzing the next chemical reaction in one of the benzoic acid degrading enzymes.

3-hydroxy benzoic acid + reduced form receptor + O2 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid + receptor + H2O

The substrate of this enzyme is 3-hydroxy benzoic acid, a reduced form receptor and O2, and a product is 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, receptor and H2O.

This enzyme belongs to an oxidation-reduction enzyme and specifically acts on a substrate. Oxygen is taken in by a substrate at the same time as it is returned as an oxidizer. The organization name is 3-hydroxybenzoate,hydrogen-donor:oxygen oxidoreductase (2-hydroxylating), and another name has 3-hydroxybenzoate 2-hydroxylase, 3-HBA-2-hydroxylase.
