It is located in the mountains of the district at the west end of Hita-shi. National highway No. 386 and the Chikugo River (as for the popular name in our area the Mikuma River) go along the station square in form to run side by side with Kyudai Main Line, and National highway No. 210 runs the opposite bank across the Chikugo River. In addition, National highway No. 211 and Oohi River go in form to run side by side with Hitahikosan Line from the approximately 300m northwest of our station.

In the neighborhood of station, cliffs continue, and a rain meter is installed at the time of the rain because it is dangerous [the source required].

The station name is associated with the village (admitted into Hita-shi in) in (1955 in 1955) at the Hita-gun daybreak when I existed in our station establishment those days. Because the place name of "the daybreak" is the slash-and-burn agriculture cleared land, it was attached with fried (desperation) at night first, but 改字 depends on what was done in order of (the end) in disfavor with pronunciation of "the firing" at night at open (the end), the daybreak.
