Summary

In an uninhabited island of approximately 3,000 square meters in area, it is on the Sea of Japan of approximately 100 meters of western offings of Hinomisaki. It was old, and there was Shimonomiya of Hinomisaki Shrine, and the landing except the Shinto priest was forbidden.

As a breeding place of the black-tailed gulls, I am appointed in the natural monument "Kyojima black-tailed gull breeding place" of the country. The black-tailed gull of approximately 5,000 comes flying from the end of November to the winter and I hang it in May from April and leave the island every year in laying eggs, incubation, about July.

From the observation station Torimi stand which is on the Hinomisaki promenade, I can look at Kyojima.
