The Knoop hardness (Knoop こうど, Knoop hardness) is one of the standards to express the hardness of industrial materials and is a kind of the burglary hardness.

Because numerical increase and increase of the hardness support in comparison with Mohs scale more continually, I am used for a quantitative index of the hardness.

I divide examination load by indentation surface area and am calculated.

L2 = indentation surface area (unit mm2)
Cp = correction factor 0.070279
P = weighting (unit kgf)
