Odamachi (おおたちょう) is the town which was ever in Kamo-gun, Gifu.

It is the town which I did around Osamu Nakayama Ota hotel.

It is a part of current Minokamo-shi and is a center of Minokamo-shi with former Kobi-cho [1]. The place name turns big by land readjustment, but the approximate position is an area west than Mino-Ota Station. The current place name is Odamachi, Honcho, Ota, Kawamachi, Kamo, Fukadacho, Kusabuecho, Maehiracho, Nishimachi, Yamate-cho, Otemachi.

History

  • In the early period of Edo era, Osamu Nakayama is maintained, and Ota hotel is established.
  • In last years of Edo era, this area belonged to Mino country Kamo-gun and was Owari feudal clan territory (Otamura, Fukadamura).
  • - Otamura enforces town organization (1889) on July 1 in 1889. It becomes Odamachi.
  • - sake cellar village, Fukadamura, a bodkin village, Kuroiwa-mura, Fukagaya-mura, Katsuyamamura, an action village merge (1897) on April 1 in 1897 and become the Sakahogi village.
  • I incorporate a part of the former Fukadamura level (1950) among - Sakahogi village on August 10 in 1950.
  • It merges with a part (Kawaura, 廿屋) of - Kobi-cho, 伊深村, Hachiya village, Yamanoe village, the Kamo Nomura and Miwa village (1954) on April 1 in 1954, and Minokamo-shi starts. The same day Odamachi abolition.
