The Joso municipal library (じょうそうしりつとしょかん) is public library in Mitsukaidotenmacho, Joso-shi, Ibaraki character Kameoka. The motto "a living joy of reading" [9].

I offered it open and started service to read approximately 1,310,000 points of documents including a book and the treatise which National Diet Library digitized for the first time (2014) in the public library in Ibaraki on June 1 in 2014 with the PC in the hall [10].

I describe a type of radical hall (I breathe it and buy it and feel it) in the site here.

Usage, condition

The asbestos detection and the correspondence

The air conditioner repair supplier discovered a letter of "the ひる stone spraying" in the plan of the Joso municipal library (2014) in June in 2014, and the fear that used asbestos became clear [17]. As a result of investigation, it was recognized that a ceiling contained asbestos [13]. The atmospheric density in the hall was less than 10/L of standard values that the Air Pollution Control Act determines in 0.3 of them/L, but will be closed for air conditioner repair work and asbestos removal construction temporarily [17].

I will be closed for asbestos (asbestos) removal construction (2014) from July 16 in 2014 [13] and I finish removal construction and will reopen (2015) on March 17 in 2015 [14].

The closed substitute facilities do not establish Joso-shi the other day and call for the use of the public library of neighboring city areas [18].

It was flooded by typhoon 18th (2015) in 2015 on September 10 in 2015 and approximately 30,000 points were damaged with water in approximately 150,000 points and suffered the damage that mold produced the building in wall surfaces, and the floor bent, and repair work was necessary for to possess, and it was the closure [19].

Therefore I install a temporary building in the parking lot of the main building south side and will reopen only by rental (2016) in January in 2016 [19].

A type of radical hall

A type of radical hall (May, 2013 photography.)

Western-style modern architecture [20] that was built as Mitsukaido town office in (1913) in 1913 by Yuki-gun Mitsukaido-cho character treasure sinus hotel (existing Mitsukaidosakaecho, Joso-shi character treasure sinus hotel). The appearance is 2 stories by a design [21] by Minaba Uranosuke of the lumber dealer, but the inside is a one-story house [20]. A factor of the Japanese style architecture is adopted everywhere, and it may be said that it is a typical building of the Meiji, the Taisho era period [22].

It had been inflected after Mitsukaido-shi government office new Government building completion of (1960) as a Government building and a public hall of the Mitsukaido-shi Board of Education in 1960, but I was transferred in (1984) in 1984 by the courtyard of the Mitsukaido municipal library [21].

The value as cultural assets is evaluated in (1997) in 1997 and is enrolled in the registration tangible cultural property of the country. It is available for exhibitions free now if I apply in a library [23]. In addition, the modern appearance may be used for the photography of the TV drama [21]. Location photography of "Kamen Rider D Quaid" was carried out in (2009) in 2009 [24].

Origin of the name

Because it was the symbolic existence of the town which prospered in Kinugawa and the water traffic by two rivers (= a type of radical) of the Kokai River from the Edo era, I was named [21].
