The village where there was Uemura (I chew an irregularity) in Shimoina-gun, Nagano. On October 1, 2005, I was admitted into Iida-shi with south Shinano village and merged. In addition, September 30, 2010 was installed in the old village area the local autonomous district based on the law (Special Mergers Law) about the exception of the merger of cities, towns and villages as a time limit.

Geography

I was called Toyama volost for a long time and was the village of the valley among the Southern Alps and Ina Mountains. The mountain range to look at from the lower chestnut district called "Tirol of Japan" is known as a superb view. I was transcribed into Kadomura (corner irregularity) to a land ledger of (1645) for Masayasu two years and became Uemura after the land ledger of (1702) for Genroku era 15 years [¹].

History

• Double Kawachimura merges (1875) - Tsukama prefecture Ina Gujo village, Kisawason, Wada-mura on July 29 in 1875, and it is in Toyama village (different from the Toyama village in the back).
• - Toyama village becomes the position of Nagano (1876) on August 21 in 1876.
• Toyama village becomes the position of Shimoina-gun by the enforcement of the - township municipalities organization method (1879) on January 4 in 1879.
• Some - Toyama villages are separated (1881) on April 14 in 1881 and become Uemura.
• Uemura forms the local government by the enforcement of - municipality organization alone (1889) on April 1 in 1889. Octuple Kawachimura, Kisawason and "Wada outskirts of a village 4 箇村組合" (town-and-village union) are formed Wada-mura, Minamiwada-mura.
• I withdraw from - "Wada outskirts of a village 4 箇村組合" (1947) on February 1 in 1947.

• I am admitted into - Iida-shi (2005) on October 1 in 2005. The same day Uemura abolition.
